Career Planning & Development Division
Career Planning and Development Division, CPDD, headed by Ms. Manisha Choudhary, as Asst. Director, is an independent Division of GEI to look after Training, Development and Placement of GCET, GIMT and GBS. CPDD, not only lays stress on the corporate training of the students once they join the institution, but also guides them to be self-confident and be better human beings.
In order to explore student’s abilities to the fullest, events like group discussion, lectures by the specialist in public speaking, confidence building, stress and time management and attitudinal development are organized which subsequently mould them as per competitive market requirement and making the student feel confidant and developing both leadership qualities as well as managerial skills. Besides all such activities, the curriculum lays emphasis on case studies and practical training over the full academic calendar without affecting the normal schedule of teaching. The teaching-learning procedures maintains minimum teaching standard where teaching is imparted with latest tools available incorporating all elements that enable our students to become well suited for the job market.
Centre for Training & Development
The center co-ordinates the student’s activities related to their training, placement, personality development and interaction with corporate world. Other value addition programs for the students are also taken up by the center throughout the academic year.
Industry Institute Liaison Cell
The IILC has been set up to organize industrial visits, lectures by corporate professionals, summer training, project work, campus interviews and placements. A comprehensive tie up with the corporate world provides the institution the opportunity to organize regular visits to business houses and companies so that the students not only gain experience of what they have learnt but also to acquaint themselves with the functional and environmental culture of different organizations.
Faculty Advisory Cell
The faculty representatives from all the departments constitute the cell and acts as a liaison between the department and the placement office. FTPC formulates need-base programs, which give additional inputs to the students needed for effective interaction with the corporate and are made functional at the departmental level with the help of Student Training and Placement Cell (STPC).
Students Training & Placement Cell
A Student Training and Placement Cell, STPC, has been constituted with the student representative from various branches of Engineering. It aims at making students as integral part of planning, formatting and executing the day-to-day activities of Training and Placement. This goes a long way in giving them a sense of responsibility and sense of partnership in taking the Institute to higher levels of excellence. The exposure thus gained through various processes involved, builds confidence and promotes leadership quality amongst the students.

For greater all-round technical and management proficiency, it is both necessary and desirable to supplement the knowledge base through programs to reinforce communication and various other special skills to the students. Besides to meet the challenges posed by rapidly expanding horizon of knowledge, it is academically prudent to forge strategic alliances with leaders of academic and corporate world.

Corporate Advisory Group
With a view to ensure relevance of education to the demands of industry in a rapidly changing technological scenario and organize special skill enhancement programs, a Corporate Advisory Group has been set up. It comprises of the senior technocrats and administrative wizards of the renowned industries. Through regular meetings and also informal interaction with institution, the group provides valuable guidelines and initiates timely steps to be taken for effective placements in various reputed corporate houses.
